On the basis that it is always nice to 'try before you buy', we now offer Taster sessions around the Yorkshire region.

Times
Typically, these sessions last a couple of hours on a Saturday morning or in an evening, a week or so prior to the start of an Introductory Practical Philosophy course.

Purpose
The aim is to give people, who are curious about joining the Introductory Practical Philosophy course, an opportunity to see whether it is what they are looking for.

Content
The session gives potential students a taste of:

• The type of philosophy presented and how the meetings are conducted
• The discussion and insights that arise from considering a philosophic subject
• The benefits resulting from trying out simple principles and techniques during the session.
• The practicalities, such as where the venue is located, where to park, what the other people are like who maybe joining and how tasty is the cake!
• Meeting existing students, looking around the building and browsing the bookshop

Cost
There is no charge for attending the Taster Sessions.

Is It For Me?
The Taster sessions and the Introductory Philosophy courses are open to everyone and from all walks of life. No previous understanding of philosophy or special qualifications are needed. An open and enquiring mind are all that is needed.

Do I Need To Book Or Enrol?
There is no need to book for the Taster Sessions, just turn up on the day. For the Introductory Practical Philosophy courses, turn up on the first evening or enrol online. There is a £5 discount for all advance enrolments.
