"I've found the economics course in Leeds over the last two terms really interesting and stimulating. I have got a lot out of the course: the concept of a land value tax is very timely in view of widespread tax evasion / avoidance, and the historical perspective of this terms course shows how the great thinkers were very much of their own time and circumstances, although they still give us insight into today's issues. The Tutor has been a good teacher and facilitator, and the group has been a good space to explore thoughts and issues - thank you. "

As an Osteopath I joined the school to explore the philosophical side of holism in health. Now entering my fourth term I have developed richer more holistic relationships with my patients but also in life in general. I would recommend the school to anyone interested in the principals of love, life and happiness.

What I love about this course is that it is so refreshingly different. It gives you tips and exercises to help lift you out of yourself. When the mind is confused, restless or you are feeling down - there are ways to deal with it which can be discovered through the weekly meetings. And, as a bonus, you also meet some wonderful people. Thank you.

If you are unsure of things, stressed or have a life question then this course is for you. I still use all my lessons learned today and help those I can.. all I can say is using philosophy in practice is life changing for the better... The 1st Day on the course proved it for me & a lot of the others that were there!!

Each week I leave the class with a feeling of being very settled in the world. A rare feeling in this busy life we all lead. I notice more ,am even more curious about life ,and have enjoyed the company of like minded people engaging in thoughtful discussion. It has definitely changed the way I look at the world and hope to continue for many years ahead.

If you cannot slow your mind and are too busy worrying about what you've already done or what you are going to do attending Practical Philosophy helps you to find that stillness which allows you to appreciate the moment you are living in now. An added advantage is you meet new, like minded people on the same path.

Unfortunately Children (or life) do not come with an instruction manual, for myself as a first time and single parent, the Practical Parenting Course goes a long way to remedying this shortfall. I found the course re-assuring and insightful and would recommend it to any parent..

I have just completed a most wonderful parenting course - invaluable! Whilst I appreciate that parenting is an ongoing learning experience I do feel that I am now much more empowered to deal with day to day matters arising and also to fully assist my children to grow into happy, wise and successful adults.

I spent about a year around 4 years a go now, with a group in Nottingham with Laura Woodhead. It was very inspiring and life changing for me, just the understanding that we can make so much more simple and easier for ourselves by just "being", I would highly recommend anyone that is looking to be happier and be more balanced with their approach to life to go and try an Intro to Philosophy course!

Michelle have you bought your seed potatoes yet, they are selling quick. I got mine from Wilko seemed to be better than B&Q and cheaper. I have got them all set up in the light for chitting. Think I will email Mary Cole and tell her philosophy is working, just going through a trying time and nearly made the wrong decison, by been too hasty not knowing what to do. Kept saying to my self what would a wise woman do! and it worked. I told you its like having a friend, for want of a better word, at times when you feel isolated, Bettyx ,
