Welcome to the home page of the School of Philosophy, a branch of the School of Economic Science. The School operates as an educational charity and runs courses in Philosophy, Economics and Parenting Skills throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. In addition the School has interests in the Arts, Music and Education.

This course of ten weekly sessions offers students a fresh and effective approach to the great questions of life. It takes the master philosophies of East and West and examines how they can be practically applied and immediately useful in today's world. The course shows how these enormous questions are not of passing theoretical interest, but are an effective guide to life and how it can be lived to the full. The result is happiness and a freedom from the tiny cage of habitual existence. The course says: 'Truth lives in each one of us, waiting to be revealed. Philosophy works to find that truth.'
